Good Turn Food Pantry -

Eagle Scout Project

In addition to Nathan's ongoing effort for Autism Speaks, Nathan is also involved the the creation of the Good Turn Food Pantry at Stallsville United Methodist Church in Summerville, SC.  Named for the scouting slogan, "Do a Good Turn Daily," the project seeks as its goal to establish an ongoing "good turn" opportunity for Troop 750 through service to the troop's sponsoring church, and the community at large.

The project is planned in two phases.  The first phase is to raise enough money to buy 6 storage shelves for the pantry, and then transform a storage room at the church into the pantry.  The second phase is to stock the pantry with donated food items.

Nathan plans to use music as the vehicle for both phases.  The Single Smile Cafe in Summerville has been supporting the project by featuring Nathan and his Dad on Saturday mornings using their music to promote and help fund the project.

You can follow the project here, and please feel free to contact Nathan at millerkh@bellsouth.net if you would like to contribute to the project in any way.
